Items are displayed in the Items for Review cloud component based on a rolling 12-hour time period. If a new order or abnormal result is not reviewed and acknowledged during the first 12 hours it is available, it is no longer displayed in the component.

The component displays items with the following actions:

  • Cancel
  • Cancel and Reorder
  • Cancel/Discontinue
  • Discontinue
  • Modify
  • Order
  • Renew
  • Reschedule
  • Resume
  • Resume/Renew
  • Suspend
  • Void

The component displays items with the following action statuses:

  • Canceled
  • Discontinued
  • Ordered
  • Suspended

If a patient has new items for you to review, an indicator is displayed for that patient on your patient list. When the patient has a new STAT/NOW order or a Critical result, the Immediate Priority indicator  is displayed. When the patient has a new order that is not STAT/NOW or a result that is not critical, the indicator is displayed as a yellow triangle with a single black exclamation point (). If the patient has a combination of STAT/NOW orders or a Critical result and abnormal results, both indicators may be displayed.

Complete the following steps to view the item list for the patient:

  1. Tap the patient's name on the Patient List.
  2. Tap the row under Items for Review. Alternatively, you can select Items for Review from the menu in the upper right corner.

The Items for Review cloud component contains two sections: Orders and Results. Each section is only displayed if items are available to view for that section.

The following information is displayed when you view new orders:

  • Order name
  • Clinical display line
  • Order action (for example, Ordered, Modified, or Discontinued)
  • Date and time of the order action
  • If the order is a STAT or NOW order, the Immediate Priority indicator
  • If nurse review is required
  • Order comments, if available
  • The provider who ordered or entered the order
  • Actions that were performed on the order (for example, Ordered, Modified, or Discontinued)

The following information is available for new non-normal laboratory results:

  • Event name
  • Reference range, if available
  • Result value in the appropriate normalcy color
  • Appropriate normalcy indicator (Critical, High, Low, or Abnormal)
  • Age of the result or the date and time that it occurred
  • Result comments, if available
  • If the result has been modified
