Complete the following steps to start an on-demand video visit:

  1. From the Waiting Patients list, select a patient. The Patient Information view is displayed on the right side of the component.

    Note

    If you do not have a relationship with the patient, the Establish Relationship view is displayed instead. Select a relationship, and select Continue. The Patient Information view then is displayed.

  2. If you want to view the patient's chart, click View Chart on the Patient Information view. The patient's chart is displayed.
  3. Click Connect on the Patient Information view. Your default web browser opens, and the video player is displayed.

    Note

    Your browser may display a pop-up box or notification prompting you to grant the browser access to your microphone and camera. You must grant access to use the microphone and camera during the video visit. You may be promtped to grant access each time you join a video visit.

  4. During the video visit, use the following video controls as needed:
    1. Select Camera to enable or disable your camera.
    2. Select Full Screen  to expand the video from a normal view to full-screen view, or shrink the video from a full-screen view to a normal view
    3. Select Microphone  to mute or unmute your microphone.
    4. Select Reload  to reload the on-demand video visit player and chat pane.
  5. If you want to invite additional partcipants to the video visit, select Invite Guest . The Invite Guest dialog box is dsplayed.
  6. Enter the guest's email address.
  7. Select Send Invite. The email address is added to the Invited Guests list and the system sends an invitation email to the guest.

    Note

    You can send invitations to up to four guests. If you attempt to invite more than four guests, the system displays the following message: Maximum invites sent. If you enter an invalid email address, the system displays Invalid email, and if you enter an email address you already entered, the system displays Guest already invited.

  8. Select Close (X) to close the dialog box and return to the video visit player.
  9. When you are finished with the video visit, select End Visit. The patient is moved from the Waiting Patients list to the Incomplete Visits list.
