Before attending a scheduled video visit appointment, you may want to prepare for your video visit by reviewing your browser system and settings, testing your connection, and inviting guests to your appointment.

Complete the following steps to prepare for your video visit:

  1. Plan how you will access the video visit: See Overview of Scheduled Video Visits and Overview of Scheduled Group Video Visits for information about accessing video visits and supported browsers.

  2. Optionally, test your connection: If you plan to attend using a desktop browser, select the Test Your Connection link displayed in the banner for the scheduled appointment. The Test Your Connection page is displayed. This page allows you to test your microphone, speakers, and video.

  3. Optionally, invite guests: Depending on your organization, you may have the ability to invite a guest, such as a parent or friend, to attend your video visit with you. If this option is available to you, select Options next to your appointment details, and select Send Invitation. After you enter the recipient's details and select Send, that person receives an email with detailed instructions about how to join the video visit. Additionally, the person is provided the option of adding the appointment to their personal calendar.

    Note

The ability to invite guests is unavailable with scheduled group video visits.
